The Restoration of a Racing 'Legend'
During the late sixties and early seventies, the now legendary Owens Corning Corvettes became a veritable 'tour de force' in road racing. Led by Tony DeLorenzo and Jerry Thompson, the team consistantly won numerous IMSA and SCCA sanctioned races. Today, three and a half decades later, Jerry is embarking on an arduous mission to recreate his old racecar. Supplied with vintage racecar parts from Kerry Hitt, another passionate Corvette racecar driver, Jerry's dream is slowly becoming reality as he meticulously rebuilds his former 'chariot of fire.'
